Our programs

How the work actually happens

Food distribution is the core of what we do, supported by partnerships that connect people to services beyond food.

Food distribution

We collect, sort and distribute groceries to Long Beach households. Food comes from donations, food-bank allocations and purchases funded by our supporters; volunteers do most of the sorting, packing and handing out.

Households are welcome to return regularly. We record household size and how much food goes out, which is what lets us report honestly to funders and plan the next distribution.

Coming soon: programme detail

How often distributions run, roughly how many households are served, the service area boundary, and any programmes beyond food (holiday meals, seasonal drives, partner referrals). This is the substance the old site never carried.

Community partnerships

Food is rarely the only thing a household needs. We work with partner organizations — including Painted Brain — so that someone who comes to us for groceries can be connected onward to mental health support, benefits enrolment and other services.

Fundraising events

We raise money in ways that bring people together — including JUMP FOR GOOD, our skydive fundraiser at Skydive Elsinore.

Programs run on people and food

The two things we always need are volunteers to work a distribution and money to buy what donations do not cover.
