Numbers on this page come from the same records we report to funders — not from a marketing estimate.

Households served, pounds of food distributed, meals provided and volunteer hours are computed directly from distribution records, gifts and the volunteer hours ledger — so the public number can never drift from the operational data behind it.
Figures from the years before this system existed can be entered as a baseline, so the page reflects the organization’s full history rather than starting from zero.
How we measure
Every distribution records the number of households served and the weight of food issued. Meals are derived from weight using the standard conversion food banks use, and the factor is stored with each record — so improving our method later never silently rewrites what we already reported.
Volunteer hours are logged and approved, then valued at the national rate for volunteer time. That is not a marketing figure; it is reportable support.
Accountability
Seeds of Morning Glory, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, EIN 37-1882595, recognized since 2018. Our annual IRS filings are public.
We track revenue and expenses against each campaign, event, grant and programme, so questions like “what did this fundraiser net” and “what does a meal cost us” have real answers.
