Food assistance in Long Beach
If you need food, you are welcome here. There is no cost, and you do not need to bring documents to your first visit.
Where and when
Coming soon: distribution locations and hours
Locations, days and times will be listed here as soon as they are added to the system. In the meantime, please call (562) 708-5025 and we will tell you where to go.
Who can come
Anyone in our service area who needs food. We do not means-test at the door and we do not ask you to prove anything to receive a first bag of groceries.
Some of the food we distribute comes from programmes that require us to record your household size and ask you to sign a short self-declaration. That is a form you fill in yourself — we do not verify your income and we do not ask for pay stubs.
What to bring
- Bags or a box to carry groceries, if you can
- The number of people in your household
- Anything you need us to know — allergies, no refrigerator, no can opener
If you cannot get to a distribution because of illness, disability or transport, call us. We will do what we can.
Your privacy
What you tell us at intake is kept confidential and is used to run the food programme and to report totals — like the number of households served — to the funders who make it possible. Those reports never contain your name.
We never sell your information, and we never add you to a fundraising list because you asked for food. Read our privacy policy.
